Hyternal — A New MMORPG Project for Hytale

With Hytale entering Early Access on January 13, 2026, we want to introduce Hyternal and explain what this project is — and just as importantly, what it is not.

Hyternal is an MMORPG being built specifically for Hytale, with a focus on long-term progression, persistence, and systems that are meant to evolve over time. This is not a finished product announcement or a launch post. Instead, this marks the start of the project itself.

Development Start

To be clear and transparent from the beginning:

Hyternal’s development will officially begin on January 13, 2026, alongside Hytale’s Early Access release.

From that point forward, the server will be developed incrementally. Features, systems, and content will be designed, tested, adjusted, and expanded over time. We will share progress, changes, and direction openly as development continues.

This project is being approached as a long-term build, not a short-term release.

Project Direction

Hyternal is designed around a few core ideas:

• Meaningful progression that isn’t rushed or disposable
• A persistent world that grows over time
• Systems that connect rather than exist in isolation
• Stability and longevity over fast content cycles

We are not aiming to mirror existing MMORPGs or copy popular server formulas. The goal is to create something that fits naturally within Hytale’s sandbox while still offering structure, challenge, and depth.

Ongoing Updates

This forum will be used for development updates, design discussions, and announcements as the project progresses. Expect periods of visible progress and periods of quieter development — both are part of building something intended to last.

Feedback will be welcomed when it makes sense, and changes will be made when they improve the project.

Closing

Hyternal is in its earliest stage. There are no promises of instant content or rapid timelines — only a commitment to build carefully and communicate clearly.
